Unconsciously, in 2020, while obsessively taking portraits of strangers with my iPhone I rediscovered my long abandoned passion for taking photos and decided to uncover my potential in photography. This led to a Magnum workshop with Alex Majoli in Venice, which was a turning point and further led to the Photojournalism and Documentary program in Paris, at Speos School of Photography.
Since the very first photo films shot in my teenage years, I have stayed loyal to monochrome aesthetics. I “see” the world around me in monochrome.Undisturbed, harmonic, nostalgic, dark and deep beauty. So the majority of my work is shot with a Leica Q2 Monochrome. This fundamental part of my work also strengthened after the multiple workshops on photo printing and hours spent in the lab.
For a rare series in color I shoot on film with Leica M6 or Pentax K1000.
People have always been the main subject of my photos. I am indifferent to human beings, their affairs, their ups and downs, their imperfections, their passions and weaknesses. I am in love with everything that makes us humans, both great and tiny things, both ugly and beautiful. My photos are always easy, natural, never staged or faked.
